Dennis Drinkwater, a Wolvercote commoner & 72 years old.
His grandfather and family have had cattle on themeadow for100 years.
Len has 240 cattle (milkers and followers). None are left on the meadow anymore. He used to drive the cattle on the towpath to the meadow from wolvercote for milking.
He remembers running out of school when a Wellington bomber crashed on the meadow in WW2. He mentioned concrete posts put up all over the meadow to stop gliders from landing.
