in an operation involving around 100 police and baliffs a boater (Ceri Fielding)  is grappled off the roof of his boat by British Waterways baliffs at the Castlemill Boatyard, Oxford.  Narrowboaters are  requesting an alternative site to replace the 160 year old boatyard in the heart of  the city.  British Waterways are selling the site for housing and have not provided an alternative site. 8 boats  are craned out on the wharf in protest and BW are  forcibly craning them back in to the water today.  BW are also threatening to impound boats
